Introduction

Our privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains the information we collect, how we use and share it, how to manage your privacy controls, and your rights in connection with our websites and the related mobile applications and services (collectively, the “Services”).

To the extent a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls. Unless indicated otherwise, this Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party products or services or the practices of companies that we do not own or control, including other companies you might interact with on or through the Services.

INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU

From time to time, we may collect or ask you to provide personal information including (without limitation) the following: your username, gender, email address, password, IP address, unique device identifiers, and other identification credentials and biographical details.

Please note that, with your consent, we will collect information about your location and physical movements in order for the D-Drios App to function properly and monitor and verify forms of eligible movement and in-app requests. You may turn location monitoring on and off from time to time using the settings of the operating system of your mobile device but, if you disable this functionality, we will not be able to collect information relating to your GPS/Cell-ID location which will prevent claim functionalities to work correctly.

USES MADE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We may use your personal data to:

provide the services;

verify your physical movement and location and validate claim requests on the basis of this verified data;

analyze the usage of, and improve the Services;

communicate with you, including without limitation to inform you of updates to the D-Drops App, D-Drops Website, our Terms of Use, and/or this Privacy Policy;

perform market and customer research;

market our services to you;

correct errors and problems with the Services;

investigate and/or prevent suspected fraud or other criminal activities;

create Hunting Leaderboards of players, comprising all players or players meeting particular criteria;

and/or investigate disputes between players.

Certain of your personal data may be shared with other players of the D-Drops App as part of the normal operation of the Services. Additionally, we may, from time to time, expand or withdraw our business which may involve the transfer of certain divisions or assets of the Company to other parties, and the data we store and use, where relevant, may be transferred to such third parties. From time to time we may also transfer the data we store and use to locations outside the European Economic Area, some of which may have different data protection laws to the UK or the EU. In all such cases, we transmit such information only to entities that comply with this policy and applicable law.

Your personal data will be kept only for as long as necessary. We take reasonable industry-standard care in keeping all our data secure and in preventing any unauthorized access or unlawful use of it. All personal data we store and the process is handled strictly in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

Health Connect

The D-Drops app uses the health connect service that comes with a users mobile device. The health service is used to read a users step records.

This data is collected by sending a fetch request to Google Health connect or Apple Health. The request cannot be made without the users consent.

Storage of sensitive health data

No data collected through the health service is stored on the D-Drops database system.

We do on the other-hand store user steps counted while the user is playing the game. This data is collected though the pedometer.

Distribution of sensitive health data

The D-Drops app does not share users health data with any 3rd party.

The collected pedometer data is also not shared with third parties. But may be used for analytical purpouses. Meaning the data maybe aggregated up on and used anonymously.

What is my health data used for

Users steps records are used in the D-Drops app to calculate a users luck. The luck-system provides users with bonus rewards during our battle-mode.

Access

D-Drops can only gain access to the users health data with their consent. The user can always revoke the D-Drops apps permission to read Health related data.

Data-breach concerns

Users health data is not stored in the D-Drops database. Assuming a data breach happens, the attacker would only be able to see a User account with no sensitive data which contains step records. This data cannot in any way be used to identify a user or perform any other type of attack on the user.

Deletion request

Users can request their data to be deleted by sending a deletion request mail to [e-mail]

COOKIES

We use cookies to distinguish you from other players of the D-Drops App and D-Drops Website and obtain certain information about your usage and behavior. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer when you use the D-Drops App or D-Drops Website. This helps us to provide you with a better experience when you use the D-Drops App or browse the D-Drops Website and also allows us to improve the Services. We will use both persistent cookies, which could remain on your device until their expiration (which, in some cases, up to 10 years), and session cookies, which are temporary files removed from your device once your browser is closed.

The types of cookies we may use include:

Analytical/Tracking Cookies, which allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and analyze the use of the Services, as well as to verify transactions; and

Advertising and Retargeting Cookies, which allow us to generate appropriate advertising directed to you on the D-Drops Website as well as on the D-Drops App.

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing (i.e. “opt-out”) by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of our marketing emails or by emailing [e-mail], with the subject ‘unsubscribe’.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Any such changes we may make to this Privacy Policy will be posted on the D-Drops App and D-Drops Website and may be emailed to you. Please check the Privacy Policy available on the D-Drops App and D-Drops Website from time to time. In the event of any such change, by continuing to use the D-Drops App or D-Drops Website you agree to the relevant change.
